Body moisturising is a pain at the best of times, but never more so than in winter. We promise these products will make it more enjoyable.

It won’t shock you to learn that the skin on your body needs just as much attention as the skin on your face. Do you still remember to put on body moisturiser straight after your shower? Yeah, it’s a universal problem we’re yet to make a habit out of.

But, annoyingly, the combination of cold weather and central heating means skin is zapped of any and all moisture, and so making time to reinject it with some hydration is more important than ever. I’ve learned this the hard way.

As someone who suffers from eczema, keeping my limbs hydrated is essential to help prevent a flare-up. As such, I’ve had to test a lot of body moisturisers. The key? Find one that isn’t a faff to apply, soaks in instantly and doesn’t stick to your jeans as soon as you put them on.

I’m pleased to report that these miracle products indeed exist, which is why I’ve rounded up the best non-greasy, non-sticky body lotions and butters to add to your bathroom cabinet.

Here are the body moisturisers I really rate to help get my skin through winter. From the innovative mousse that is the perfect first step to layering your fragrance to the rich butter that my skin soaks up instantly, these are the best formulas to keep your limbs smooth and hydrated.

Rare Beauty Find Comfort Hydrating Body Mousse To Oil

Rare Beauty Find Comfort Hydrating Body Mousse To Oil

I’ve never met a product quite like this one. It applies like shaving foam and then quickly dissolves into a lightweight body oil, leaving a sheen on the skin and a fresh floral aroma behind. I’ve never got to grips with body oils, but this is so light and non-greasy, so you don’t feel any residue left behind.

Kilian Paris Angels’ Share Scented Body Lotion

Yes, this isn’t the most affordable body moisturiser, but it smells identical to the luxury fragrance of the same name, so you’re getting two for the price of one: a hydrating lotion and a perfume. It leaves you smelling good enough to eat and will look chic on your bathroom sink.

The Body Shop’s Body Yoghurt is a gel texture I reach for throughout every season of the year. In the summer, it provides an instant cooling effect to the skin once applied. In the winter, you’ll notice the syrupy texture doesn’t skim on hydration.

Naturium The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Body Butter

Not to brag, but I’d already been through two tubs of this rich butter before Hailey Bieber gave it her seal of approval – yes, it’s really that good.
