Looking for love? These are the star signs most likely to find it in February, according to an astrologer

With Valentine’s Day on 14 February, the month has become synonymous with love, but it’s not just a time for loved-up couples to indulge in a spot of romance. With love and relationships on the brain for many of us, it can also be a great time of year for singles to find love.

According to astrology expert Sade Jackson, Lovehoney’s resident astrologer, it’s not just down to Saint Valentine that February is the month of all things love and romance – it’s the standout month of the year for cosmic activity, too. “February’s energy invites us to choose, build and pursue connection,” she says.

In addition, Jackson explains that, astrologically speaking, we’re soon to enter a period that means you shouldn’t simply wait for love to come and knock on the door – it’s time to go out, pursue it and cultivate it for ourselves. “The day before Valentine’s Day, Saturn moves into Aries, and symbolically, this shifts the entire emotional script around love,” she says. “This weighty planet signals that love is no longer something we’re meant to necessarily wait for.”

However, thanks to “powerful planetary shifts” occurring this February, certain star signs are set to feel these effects more than others, as they’re “most primed for new romance, deeper connections or a meaningful spark this Valentine’s season”, says Jackson. “Whether single or coupled up, these signs are especially encouraged to follow desire and say yes to connection this month.”

So, whose love life is most likely to be shaken up this month? According to Jackson, it’s Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius who are all more likely to feel the effects of Cupid’s arrow this February.

For Aries, “emotional walls will soften, making space for courageous intimacy and new closeness,” says Jackson, while for Gemini, “a fresh erotic vision opens the door to exciting new connections”.

Letting go of ‘settling’ will enable Cancer to allow emotionally rich love to enter, but for Leo, “major lunar events activate the relationship zone, drawing in intense romantic experiences”, says Jackson.

“Claiming desires unapologetically brings magnetic confidence and attraction [for Libras],” says Jackson, while “passion resurfaces with depth, intensity and renewed erotic language” for Scorpio. As for Sagittarius? “A chance encounter could turn fantasy into reality.”

So, for any single people with these star signs, there’s no need to approach February with the usual trepidation as you await the onslaught of love-bombing Instagram posts from your coupled-up friends. February might just be your most romantic month yet.
