His & Hers: why you need to watch this gripping Netflix thriller series over the weekend
Based on the bestselling book by Alice Feeney, His & Hers is the gripping new Netflix thriller mini-series to add to your watchlist ASAP.
If there are two sides to every story, someone is always lying. At least that’s the case in His & Hers, the new thriller mini-series that has just landed on Netflix and already has us on the edge of our seats.
Released on 8 January and based on the bestselling book of the same name by Alice Feeney, this steamy murder mystery stars Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal as a husband and wife who fall under suspicion when a body is discovered in a sleepy north Georgia town.
Anna (Thompson) lives in haunting reclusivity, fading away from her friends and career as a news anchor. But when she overhears about a murder in Dahlonega – where she grew up – Anna is snapped back to life, pouncing on the case and searching for answers. To make matters more complicated, her estranged husband, Detective Jack Harper (Bernthal), is strangely suspicious of her involvement, chasing her into the crosshairs of his own investigation.
Across the six-part series, both Anna and Jack vie to solve the crime, all the while growing increasingly wary of one another as old relationship wounds surface. Yet the two also share an undeniable chemistry that feels bound to derail them sooner or later…
The result? A dangerous game of cat and mouse where each character’s dark personal history threatens to jeopardise not just the murder investigation, but their own safety too.
Two sides. One killer secret. Consider your weekend watching sorted.
