From intensive repair masks to instant hair glosses, these are the products to add to your routine if you’re after healthier hair this year.
Among all the trendy haircuts and bold colours, we likely all have the same goal: healthier hair. It seems simple, but it’s a long journey to glossy hair that’s free from breakages (especially if you’ve racked up as much damage as I have over the years).
The good news? Hair products are more advanced than ever before. You no longer have to fork over a fortune and spend hours in a salon chair to drench your strands in the latest hair gloss tech; you can achieve that shine from your own bathroom in as little as five minutes (more on this product and more later).
It might take patience and a bit of effort to reap the rewards, but these easy-to-use, efficacious hair products make it a breeze. No questionable TikTok hack required.
So, if one of the goals you set for yourself for the new year was to get your strands into tip-top shape, these products - all of which have the seal of approval from the Stylist beauty team - are the best to consider for the job.

L'Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic Gloss Rinse-Off 5 minute Lamination Treatment for Dull Hair
Your hair might be looking a bit deflated due to a lack of shine – that’s where this five-minute wonder comes in. Powered by glycolic acid (yes, the same ingredient in your go-to skincare toner), this resurfaces the fibres of your hair, revealing shiny, smooth strands underneath, as well as sealing the cuticle to give you a glazed finish.

Fenty Hair The Rich One – Moisture Repair Shampoo
This is one of my favourite shampoos for delivering hydration to frazzled ends (you can read about why here). Essentially, it thoroughly cleanses to refresh the scalp and leave your hair bouncy from the roots, while amino acids, proteins and antioxidants repair breakages and rehydrate – all without weighing down your strands.

Typebea R.1 Pre-Wash Damage Repair Mask
Never underestimate the powers of a pre-shampoo treatment. This smells good enough to eat and, once left on for at least 20 minutes, preps and protects hair before you go in with your shampoo, so you’re left with the best results.

Living Proof Triple Bond Complex
If you haven’t jumped aboard the bond repair hype already, 2026 is the time to start. There are many hard-working formulas out there, but this is one product that never leaves my routine. Think of it as a serum for your hair that, when applied weekly, rebuilds the broken bonds in the hair to reduce breakage and restore strands to their former glory. Just remember to blast your hair with a hairdryer after application for at least a few seconds to activate the reparative formula (don’t worry, it doubles up as a heat protectant, too).

Olaplex Rich Hydrating Mask
No healthy hair routine is complete without a hair mask. This thick butter from Olaplex doesn’t get as much love as others in the legendary range, but it should. It transforms dry, coarse strands into luscious, velvety locks, thanks to rich botanical oils and emolients that lock in moisture.

Kérastase Genesis Hair Serum
Your scalp is the soil for your hair to grow, so it’s important to give it some TLC. I’ve lost count of how many bottles of this hair growth serum I’ve been through. It’s helped restore delicate strands around my hairline that I’d previously torched with hair straighteners, thanks to a blend of energising ginger and aminexil (an ingredient renowned for speeding up hair growth).

Glaze Super Color Clear Conditioning Gloss Sheer Glow
If you colour your hair, a tinted hair gloss from Glaze will instantly bring life back into your strands. For those who don’t, the glossing formula now comes in a clear version, so you can get the mirror-like shine without having to tint your shade.

Oribe Hair Alchemy Strengthening Masque
After that just-had-a-blow-dry look? This lightweight mask won’t leave ends greasy or heavy, but thicker and softer. It’s powered by shea butter, keratin and a mix of thirst-quenching fruits such as watermelon, lychee and bamboo, to strengthen and condition.

Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt
A claggy scalp might be why your hair isn’t reaching its full potential. This sea salt-rich scrub is gentle, yet effective at sloughing away dead skin cells and product build-up to refresh and deliver volume from root to tip. No itchy scalps to see here.
