Got leftover mulled wine from Christmas Day? Try this warming winter negroni recipe

Food and Drink

Whether you have leftover mulled wine from Christmas Day or you’ve just made a new batch, this negroni recipe is the perfect way to use it.

We’ve made it to Boxing Day! The gifts have been exchanged, the Christmas dinner cooked and eaten and – if you’re anything like us – you’ve probably enjoyed a glass of champagne or two. After all, there’s no time like now to unwind and indulge.

But it’s not just fizz that always goes down a treat over the festive season. Mulled wine is also a must – loved for how warming it is. Whether you buy yours pre-made or mull your own at home, it’s the perfect tipple to serve to guests over the winter.

If you have leftover mulled wine from Christmas Day (or have just made a new batch, we don’t judge), the great news is that there are loads of creative ways to serve it over the next few days. Our favourite? The winter negroni. Created by Mermaid Gin, it elevates mulled wine into an quick-to-serve negroni with a festive twist. It’s also extremely easy to make, meaning you won’t need to be away from your guests for long, and you won’t need a cocktail shaker, either.

Intrigued? Here’s how to make it.
