The 2-week eclipse corridor just started – this is what it means for you
Eclipse season is upon us. Here, two astrology experts explain how the current ‘eclipse corridor’ will impact you, and the star signs that will feel the effects the most.
Have you felt a shift in the past few days? Do your feelings feel closer to the surface than usual or are you second-guessing yourself more than you normally would? It could be because eclipse season is upon us, which includes the ‘eclipse corridor’ we’re currently experiencing.
“From 7 September to 21 September, events tend to carry extra weight, often setting the tone for months – or even years – ahead,” says Tetiana Tsvil, an astrologer at a spiritual guidance platform Nebula.
Put simply, it’s a time of heightened emotions, low energy and the sense that life is pushing you toward lessons you can’t sidestep. These lessons often arise through situations that feel fated or inevitable, and the consequences of choices you make now may echo well into the future.
What is the eclipse corridor?
An eclipse corridor is the time between a solar and a lunar eclipse that occurs near the moon’s nodes. The eclipse corridor lasts two weeks, but the week before and the week after are also times when we begin to feel these energies. This whole month is called eclipse season.
“Imagine a full moon or a new moon, then multiply the intensity by 10. Eclipse energy is intense; around eclipse corridors, significant events and new connections often begin and tend to stick, carrying long-term lessons,” says Polina Arutiunian, an astrologer at Nebula.
While this period can bring breakthroughs and clarity, it can also amplify stress and uncertainty. That’s why it’s not the best time to rush into major decisions or to make irreversible changes.
Eclipse seasons tend to accelerate events, sometimes in ways that feel sudden or confusing. Acting without giving yourself time to reflect can lead to choices based on temporary feelings rather than long-term stability. Conflicts or abrupt changes now may ripple into future opportunities. The weight of decisions made during this time is often greater than it seems. So what should you do instead?
Tsvil advises focusing on reassessing priorities and reviewing daily habits. “Use the corridor as time to reflect on the past six months, including what’s working and what isn’t,” she says. “Avoid irreversible commitments but embrace sketching looser plans for the next six months, while still making space for self-care, rest, and restoring energy reserves.
“It’s wiser to step back and observe rather than charge forward with bold moves. Use these two weeks for reflection and watch how situations unfold naturally. By the time the corridor closes, you’ll be better positioned to act with a clear mind and a clearer understanding of your circumstances.”
Which star signs will be impacted most by the eclipse corridor?
Tsvil suggests that everyone will feel the influence of this eclipse season, but Virgo, Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius are likely to experience the strongest changes – especially around close relationships, home and career.
Virgo
“Changes may centre on your personal identity, goals and how you present yourself, as well as the dynamics of close relationships. Be mindful not to overreact to sudden tensions or to rush into defining – or ending – a commitment,” she says.
Pisces
“You could feel torn between your own needs and a partner’s expectations (or those of people closest to you). This isn’t the best time to draw hard lines or make all-or-nothing decisions – let situations develop before you act.”
Gemini
“Matters related to home, family and living situations could be unsettled, while career or public responsibilities may also demand attention. Avoid sudden moves that could disrupt your long-term stability.”
Sagittarius
“Your career path, professional reputation and life direction may come into the spotlight, while personal or family matters could require more focus. Strive for balance instead of swinging between extremes.”
